This peice is long, complex, and technically challenging.
Take it one section at a time. Take a riff that seems an essential idea,
practice it slowly, then work it faster & faster. A metronome is a great help.
"<5>" = play open string harmonic at 5th fret.
"5H6" = play note on 5th fret then hammer on 6th.
"6P5" = play note on 6th fret then pull off to 5th.
"5^6" = play 5th fret then bend up to 6th fret pitch.
"X" = Deadened string.
"/" = Slide up the string, "\" = Slide down the string.
"%" = play previous measure again. If a "2" is above it, repeat previous 2 measures.
This INTRO starts extremely quietly, in 5/4, then fades in. Starts on C#.

As Mr. Fripp says in scrapbook to tGD (I think) only guitar
parts were preconcieved, the rest of the band was just
improvising. So to be decent to the past and the soul of
improvisation only this basic guitar ideas shall be written
here as they were sensed by me.
Let me apologise for my poor sense of music beforehand, for I
know that probably more than a half of what is transcribed
here (as well as my English grammar ...) is incorrect.
The piece consisits of 12 parts. Some of them are the same,
some have only common harmonic structure (fracture ?). So all
together there're VII non-homogeneous themes.
The order in which they are performed, as far as I can recall
is: (I)-(II)-(I)-(II)-(III)-(II)-(IV)+- ... well, you may
guess that.

Theme IV.
This is impro-piece for bass.
In the first incarnation of this tune it starts from initial
note Db. Vibes or violin are playing the Main Fracture Melody
Line (see Theme VIIa) from initial note. Guitar supports that
